Now that you have your baby home, you should try to develop a regular schedule for feeding, bathing, nap-time and play-time. This may prove a little more difficult with a preemie since they are used to a lot of activity in the NICU. A quiet surrounding and darkness may take some getting used to. You should try to continue some of the planned care that you were using in the NICU, like Kangaroo care, to help your baby adjust.

Use rolls to prop your baby up when awake and alert to help him feel comfortable
Carry him in a curled-up position or bundled to make him feel secure
Place her in your lap on her back with her legs bent and resting on your stomach to encourage eye contact and to talk to her.
Lie your baby on his side using a roll behind his back for support, this will encourage playing and looking at his hands. You can use this as a sleep position as well.
When using a seat, car seat or swing place rolls in an 'O' shape for head, shoulder and knee support.
Help her to roll over from her stomach by placing your hand on her bottom, her arms over her head and slowly roll her over to encourage head lifting.
She can roll from he back to stomach by keeping her arms above her head, have you bend her knee, then place your hand on her hip and slowly roll her over.
